The Starknet Foundation has clarified that the proposed token distribution plans are still under development and that no final decisions have been made. This comes after screenshots of a possible provisions portal were shared on social media, leading to speculation about the token distribution process.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the foundation stated that the screenshots contained draft plans that are still being worked on and that the final criteria and details around the provision allocations will be shared when they are ready.
The foundation also warned users to beware of scams and to only follow information on their official channels.
The Starknet token, STRK, was announced in November 2022. The foundation has said that it plans to distribute STRK tokens to certain users and contributors for past activity on the Starknet network.
However, the specific criteria for eligibility and the exact amount of tokens to be distributed have not yet been finalized.
The foundation has said that it is committed to distributing STRK tokens in a fair and transparent manner. However, it has also emphasized that the token distribution process is still in development and that changes may be made to the plans.
