The Fantom Foundation has announced the launch of the Sonic Labs accelerator program. Aimed at boosting innovation within the Fantom ecosystem, this initiative focuses on the newly introduced Sonic technology. The program is a beacon for aspiring web3 entrepreneurs, offering them crucial resources, mentorship, and guidance.
The Sonic Labs program is set to incubate a select group of up to five projects, which will be pivotal in advancing the Fantom Sonic technology.
The Foundation has dedicated a grant pool of 1,000,000 FTM (around 294,000 USD) to develop the minimum viable product (MVP) of each project. The beneficiaries will gain more than just financial support; they will also receive technical assistance, co-marketing opportunities, and direct mentorship from Fantom leaders, including the renowned Andre Cronje.
This opportunity extends beyond financial aid, offering participants a chance to showcase their projects to potential investors and the Foundation for additional funding. The successful projects are expected to align with the Fantom Sonic mainnet’s launch in spring 2024.
The Sonic Labs program is open to developers creating applications with Fantom technology across various blockchain sectors. Selection by Fantom Foundation executives and VC partners will focus on vision, technology utilization, target audience, uniqueness, and potential impact on the Fantom network.
Applications are now open, with the program concluding on February 6, 2024, followed by an announcement of the winners. This initiative marks a major step in supporting and fostering innovative talent in the blockchain sphere, underlining Fantom’s commitment to community and technological advancement.
