Today, the Manipur Department of Education announced that it will implement a unique educational product suite focused on verifying and storing educational certificates in a secure platform on the Internet Computer.
DFINITY Foundation is a Swiss non-profit research and development organization that is a major contributor to the Internet Computer Blockchain (ICP).
The solution will eliminate the problems related to misplaced certificates and guarantee the authenticity of the certificate while making it always accessible to the owners, wherever they may be in the world. This ICP-based approach will give certificates more legitimacy and assist students in finding jobs.
The product suite will make use of ICP technology, such as Internet Identity, to guarantee that no superfluous personal information is available and that all pertinent information is tamperproof and accessible.
DFINITY will provide technology advice to The Horizon, a web3 policy and adoption think tank located in New Delhi, to aid in the implementation process.
“As a global leader in cutting-edge technology, India continues to innovate by integrating blockchain technology into its education system.
The Internet Computer is a tamper-proof and fully decentralized public blockchain with no backdoors,” said Dominic Williams, the DFINITY Foundation’s founder and chief scientist.Â
This initiative addresses important issues with Manipur’s educational system by utilizing ICP’s distinct advantages in security, immutability, and transparency.
The Department of Education will receive a specially designed solution to help transform the state into an Indian center for knowledge and skills.
