Elon Musk recently took to X to respond to a tweet by Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of X and current head of Block, regarding their new bitcoin wallet, Bitkey.
In his tweet, Musk attempted to reference a popular cryptocurrency maxim “not your keys, not your coins,” but instead tweeted the phrase “not your keys, not your wallet.”
This phrase is commonly used in the crypto community to underscore the importance for investors to maintain complete control of their private keys themselves.
However, this altered version from Elon quickly caught the attention of user on X and led him into discussing various topics related to cryptocurrencies in his tweets.
But some responded with criticism, making reference to past incidents where the Tesla and SpaceX CEO demonstrated an enthusiastic yet imperfect familiarity with cryptocurrency.
