Enjin, a platform for nonfungible tokens (NFTs), has moved more than 200 million NFTs from Ethereum and a sidechain to its own Enjin Blockchain.
Enjin announced that more than 118 million NFTs hosted on Ethereum and more than 101 million NFTs hosted on JumpNet, an Ethereum sidechain, have been moved to the Enjin Blockchain, the company’s mainnet.
The NFT platform declared in June that it was building its blockchain. According to Enjin, the new network integrates NFT-specific features like NFT transfers and royalty enforcement into the core blockchain code.
Users will notice a few changes as a result of the move, including the integrated royalties and the addition of a new feature called “Fuel Tanks,” which enables developers to lower user gas costs.
The platform will use this feature to offer users three months of free transactions throughout its ecosystem, according to the announcement.
