The BONK frenzy has led Solana mobile phone Saga’s price to soar to $5,000 on eBay as the phone sells out on the official website and users start bidding to get it at a premium.
As the company sold out all Saga phones on December 16, a user on eBay sold the unopened mobile phone at its listing price of $5,000, more than 9 times higher than its MRP. Following this sale, other eBay listings of the Saga phone were also set at higher prices, with one listing selling at 10,000 AUD, approximately $6,721.
The sold Saga phone is unopened, as stated, and comes with unclaimed 30 million BONK tokens, which the company was giving away with each device. Not only one or two, but there are a total of over 20 Saga phones that have been sold on eBay at a premium price compared to their actual cost of $599.
While users are eagerly buying Solana phones to claim the BONK airdrop, there seems to be a buzz around a number of additional airdrops for Saga owners.
Kyle Samani, the managing partner at Multicoin Capital, shared that there will be a ton of airdrops for Saga owners in the next 12 months. While citing Samani’s post, the anonymous founder of Solend – a decentralized lending protocol on Solana – confirmed that his team is working on an airdrop for Saga owners.
