Today marks exactly 10 years ago when a quirky Bitcoin (BTC) enthusiast created the HODL meme, which is currently among the most well-known and popular expressions in the crypto world.
On December 18, 2013, BitcoinTalk user GameKyuubi posted on the boards, just as the price of Bitcoin had plummeted to $420 per coin, down two-thirds from its peak of $1200. His post’s subject, “I AM HODLING,” made his intentions (relatively) apparent despite the volatility.
