Spot Bitcoin ETF issuers, Bitwise and Hashdex, have kicked off their ETF marketing campaigns by releasing three advertisements in the past two days.
Amid the anticipation around spot Bitcoin ETFs, Bitwise rolled out its first advertisement on December 18 while promoting its “ETFs backed by crypto specialists.” Bitwise featured Jonathan Goldsmith in the ad, who is best known for the sensational Dos Equis beer campaign.
Another spot Bitcoin ETF issuer Hashdex also published its advertisement on December 20 while featuring a dumper truck. It displayed, “stocks aren’t crypto, fixed income isn’t crypto, precious metals? nope, not crypto either,” captioned throughout the ad and said, “Your bitcoin investment deserves a crypto-focused firm.”
Bitwise also shared another clip from its same campaign in which Jonathan Goldsmith says, “Though you would like to know, Satoshi sends his regards.”
While the official decision regarding Spot BTC ETF approval is yet to be shared by the SEC, the marketing efforts from both firms show confidence in probable approval.
As 13 different spot Bitcoin ETF applications are awaiting regulatory approval, the competition between all might depend on branding effects and ease of access.
