Ignore copies of ChatGPT, Perplexity AI wants to be your reliable answer machine. Aravind Srinivas, the CEO of a company wants to do more than chatbots.
He plans on giving complete responses supported by real things. Srinivas’ knowledge-based approach helps to give true facts instead of artificial fluff from AI.
Recently, confusion got $74 million to grow its system. Since it started working people have been using it more and more. Srinivas thinks you don’t need to use a chatbot for search. He says Perplexity is focused on understanding what users want and giving full answers all at once.
The group behind Perplexity has very good experience at OpenAI, Meta, and other big tech companies. Importantly, they use a “model-independent” method by picking the best AI model for each job.
This gives them the ability to change and improve for particular needs, making sure they get their best results.
Some people worry about “competition” in AI development, but Perplexity is different because they care more about getting things right and earning the trust of users.
Srinivas stresses their aim isn’t to replace humans. Instead, they want a helpful tool for fast and dependable information access.
