Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has appointed Usi Zade as its new COO to spearhead the company’s expansion into new markets across Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
The appointment comes as Bitget aims to strengthen its global influence within the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem after a successful 2023 which saw its native BGB token increase 210% over the past year. Bitget has now become the 11th largest exchange by volume, surpassing platforms like HTX, Crypto.com, and Upbit.
In his new role, Zade will be responsible for leading Bitget’s go-to-market teams and driving strategic growth as the company looks to establish a greater foothold in emerging markets.
Zade brings considerable experience to Bitget, having previously held senior positions at major organizations like Facebook and Sony. At Facebook, he played an instrumental role in expanding the platform to 45 countries.
The appointment of an industry veteran like Zade highlights Bitget’s ambitions of cementing itself as a top global cryptocurrency exchange through continued expansion worldwide.
