The COO of Gemini, Marshall Beard criticized the United States government in the most recent interview on Bloomberg TV.
In the interview, Marshell said that the United States government needed a broader crypto regulation framework. He also believes that the US government should have the framework before approving the Bitcoin ETF, as many countries have issued a crypto-specific framework.
Gemini is publicly working as the custodian on the VanECK product and it is still in discussion with lots of ETF issuers, as mentioned by Marshall. Additionally, Gemini is in discussion with “the file called 7RCC fund, but that has not launched yet.”
He also said, “We saw NASDAQ announce that they wanted to do custody, but now they’re not doing it anymore.”
There is also a question about some platforms, like Vanguard, which did not offer crypto ETF, or EPTs on their platform, and many platforms may follow the same or not. On this, he thinks, “It was a little old-school thinking. This is a new technology. They probably will come around over time.”
Marshall also thinks the rise is in Bitcoin, which is high upto $40K, pretty good, and the launching of Bitcoin ETF, which all are working well.
