HashKey Capital, a Hong Kong-based digital asset fund manager, and FTSE Russell, a London Stock Exchange Group division, have introduced three new cryptocurrency indexes.
On January 24, the two organizations revealed their collaborative effort in creating these indexes, which follow digital assets based on market capitalization, infrastructure, and application.
These indexes aim to simplify monitoring for traders by providing insights not only into individual digital assets but also into a collection of assets that align with specific investment strategies.
The FTSE Custom Digital Asset Top 20 Index is created to monitor the 20 largest cryptocurrencies based on their market value.
Meanwhile, the FTSE Custom Digital Asset Infrastructure Index aims to follow digital assets that form the foundational elements of the industry. Lastly, the FTSE Custom Digital Asset Application Index focuses on tracking cryptocurrencies that serve specific application functionalities.
