A cryptocurrency exchange, Kraken, has bolstered its leadership team by adding two key executives, Gilles BianRosa and Marcus Hughes.
Gilles BianRosa, formerly Chief Product Officer at N26, has been appointed as Chief Operating and Product Officer, bringing over two decades of product leadership experience. In his role, BianRosa will oversee strategy, operations, and product development.
Kraken CEO David Ripley expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Gilles to the Kraken team during a pivotal moment of growth for our company.”
Meanwhile, Marcus Hughes, former Managing Director at Coinbase, joins as Global Head of Regulatory Strategy, leveraging his extensive legal and regulatory expertise in both traditional finance and crypto.
Ripley also highlighted Hughes’ capabilities, stating, “There’s no one better equipped to help Kraken navigate the complexities of a fragmented and fast-evolving regulatory landscape than Marcus.”
These strategic appointments are geared towards supporting Kraken’s plans for product innovation and global expansion while ensuring compliance in the diverse markets it operates.
The move underscores Kraken’s commitment to making cryptocurrency accessible while adhering to regulatory standards in an ever-evolving industry.
