NFT marketplace Magic Eden has launched a digital wallet with cross-chain support for collectors. On Monday, 29/01/2024, the platform publicly released its Magic Eden Wallet across Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon blockchains.
The self-custodial wallet features include native bridging, instant cross-chain swaps, and portfolio management. Users can also trade NFTs directly through integration with Magic Eden.
Magic Eden said the wallet addresses are needed for a convenient way to collect NFTs across blockchains. The team worked on the wallet amid last year’s NFT market turnover.
Magic Eden outlined a Month of Perks in February as a motivation for early adopters. This includes limited-time mints of NFT projects like Claynosaurz and Degenerate Ape Academy. Wallet users will also access point multipliers, airdrops, and other rewards.
Initially, Magic Eden specialized in Solana NFTs, then added Polygon in November. In March 2023, three months after its launch, it included Bitcoin and Ethereum as its third and fourth supported chains. The wallet launch helps position Magic Eden to offer a wide NFT selection and user experience.
