The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has entered into a strategic partnership with EasyA, a leading developer hub, to drive greater adoption of smart contracts on the XRPL network.
EasyA will launch educational modules and initiatives to onboard its community of over 750,000 developers onto the XRPL and its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible sidechain. This will allow developers to easily build decentralized applications with smart contract capabilities on the high-speed, low-cost XRPL.
Crypto influencer Crypto Eri announced EasyA’s “60 Days of XRPL” program on social media with seven new learning challenges. Upon completing the program, developers will have the skills to deploy smart contracts on the XRPL EVM sidechain directly from their mobile phones.
Ripple’s partnership with EasyA has made this integration possible to educate developers on bridging the XRPL and EVM. EasyA developers associated with top global universities will be instrumental in building new use cases for decentralized apps on the ledger.
The partnership also aligns with Ripple’s vision to enable smart contracts on the XRPL through the upcoming Hooks protocol upgrade. However, EasyA’s approach facilitates faster, more mainstream-accessible smart contract deployment.
Industry observers have noted that EasyA’s large developer community and mobile-focused approach could kickstart a new wave of mobile XRPL apps. The ability to create smart contracts from mobile devices lowers barriers to entry significantly.
Backing from investment firms like Andreessen Horowitz also ensures EasyA developers are well-funded to turn ideas into reality, accelerating innovation on the XRPL.
With this integration, the XRPL is poised to tap into EasyA’s vibrant community to drive mainstream decentralized app adoption through mobile and attract the next generation of blockchain developers.
