In an expected television interview, former US President Donald Trump spoke about the internationally disruptive technology, saying that artificial intelligence (AI) is “maybe the most dangerous thing out there.”.
In a first preview of an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo, Trump discussed a range of subjects, such as artificial intelligence and CBDCs.
“The AI, as they call it, it is so scary,” Trump stated during Sunday Morning Futures. “I think [it] may be the most dangerous thing out there of anything because there’s no real solution.”
Artificial intelligence (AI), particularly generative AI, has swept the globe since it was introduced to the public last year. An unfavorable consequence of the widespread use of AI tools has been increased deepfakes created by AI, such as those of the Republican presidential candidate for 2024 and his opponent and incumbent US President, Joe Biden.
Trump remarked, “I saw somebody ripping me off the other day where they had me making a speech about their product. I said, ‘I’ll never endorse that, and I’m telling you, you can’t even tell the difference.’”
Artificial intelligence (AI)-generated deepfakes of well-known individuals, such as Trump, Biden, Pope Francis, Tom Hanks, and most recently, Taylor Swift, have proliferated online.
Trump said, “Something has to be done about this, and it has to be done fast. And nobody is quite sure what to do.” Trump stated that AI is a concern that requires attention “right now.”
Trump remarked, “What you say at an interview with you almost doesn’t matter anymore.” He said that even specialists are unable to distinguish between what they have changed and what they have not. There is a serious security issue with this.
