A leading digital asset mining and computing infrastructure provider in North America, Hut 8 Mining Corp., has appointed Asher Genoot as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Jaime Leverton, effective immediately.
The decision comes after the completion of the merger between Hut 8 and US Bitcoin Corp, prompting the Board to chart a new strategic direction for the company.
Bill Tai, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in Genoot’s ability to accelerate the company’s path to market leadership, stating, “Hut 8 is now at a pivotal inflection point, and we believe that Asher is uniquely qualified to accelerate our path to market leadership.”
