Internet celebrity Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, known as KSI online, has been accused of performing a pump-and-dump scam involving digital assets like XCAD by crypto investigator ZachXBT.
On February 14th, ZachXBT shared screenshots allegedly showing KSI hyping up XCAD before dumping $850,000 worth soon after fellow investigator Coffeezilla called this behavior the “definition of a pump and dump.”
However, Oliver Bell, founder of the XCAD Network, disputed these allegations, stating that KSI remains an active investor and supporter of XCAD.
A KSI fan named Vibhor also defended him in a document of 36 pages, arguing the YouTuber openly shares his crypto activity and changes his mind often.
Still, some believe KSI acted maliciously, while others think his behavior stems from his friendship with Logan Paul, who is currently facing a lawsuit over an NFT project.
However, crypto investigator Coffeezilla is still not convinced by the argument. In a response video, Coffeezilla said it’s not about being a good or bad caller. The crypto investigator argued that this does not explain KSI trading, which is the opposite of what he says.
The allegations raise questions about internet celebrities’ influence over crypto prices and ethical trading practices. While KSI maintains defenders, investigators say his actions fit the pattern of illegal pump-and-dump schemes. The situation remains controversial and ongoing.
