The Ethereum-based decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Arcade has announced a competitive airdrop called Clash of Claims for its native ARCD governance token.
On February 21st, Arcade will airdrop 750 ARCD tokens to 4,000 randomly selected wallets holding NFTs from collections like Pudgy Penguins, Lil Pudgys, Sappy Seals, Bitcoin Puppets, and NodeMonkes.
The first 2,000 wallets of Ethereum NFT holders and 2,000 wallets of Solana and Bitcoin NFT holders will be whitelisted to claim tokens within two hours of launch day. After that, the remaining unclaimed tokens will be up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis for any holders of the selected NFT collections. This competitive dynamic for token distribution came after initial community feedback.
With 3 million ARCD tokens set to be given away, Arcade uses this airdrop to expand its presence across Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin ecosystems. The event also builds momentum before the eventual unlocking and market availability of the currently locked ARCD token. As a governance token, ARCD lets holders vote on proposals for Arcade’s NFT lending protocol.
