There was a major courtroom development in the UK as early Bitcoin pioneers Adam Back and Martti ‘Sirius’ Malmi testified, strongly disputing self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright’s claim of being Satoshi Nakamoto.
These important personalities in the cryptocurrency space made the case for Wright’s alleged identity as Satoshi very convincing, thus, creating doubts.
Back and Malmi, two highly esteemed individuals who were instrumental in the early development of Bitcoin, furthered the doubt regarding Wright’s widely contested claims by refuting his story.
Simultaneously, on February 20, the 11th day of the trial between the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) and Craig Wright, witnesses David Bridges, Max Lynam, and Stefan Matthews testified.
The CEO of nChain, Matthews, was present, while Bridges and Lynam took part via a video call. Continuous cross-examination foresees more disclosures as COPA attempts to prove Wright’s self-proclaimed Satoshi status.
The crypto community is closely following this legal battle, underlining the necessity of establishing who Satoshi Nakamoto is, a significant and mysterious person in the beginning of Bitcoin.
As the trial progresses, the crypto community holds its breath to see an outcome that could potentially change the perception of Bitcoin’s origin and its mysterious creator.
