Google has announced the expansion of its AI assistant, Gemini, to Google Workspace products used daily by millions of business customers. This move aims to boost productivity and streamline collaboration through intelligent automation.
Existing workspace customers using Duet AI will now be automatically upgraded to Gemini Enterprise at no additional cost. Gemini Enterprise provides unfettered access to Google’s most advanced AI capabilities for heavy enterprise users.
Google also launched a more affordable Gemini Business add-on, starting at $20 per user/month. This extends cutting-edge AI to teams and SMBs previously priced out of enterprise-level offerings.
Core workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides will be infused with Gemini to boost productivity. For example, Gemini can help draft emails, generate visual assets, and analyze trends.
There will also be a Gemini chat interface, allowing users to query the assistant directly with enterprise-grade security and data governance.
