The organization behind Ethereum scaling solution Arbitrum is funding Oscar winner Shane Norris’s cryptocurrency feature film. The movie, titled “New Here,” will be created by Dpop Studios, an innovative media company that supports cryptocurrencies.
It will look at digital art from the viewpoint of a novice who falls down the rabbit hole of cryptocurrency. For his work on Navalny, Boris just took home the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature from the previous year.
The movie chronicles the circumstances leading up to Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s purportedly state-sponsored poisoning. On Wednesday, Boris talked enthusiastically about his new initiative with the Arbitrum Foundation, which is an X Space.
The film producer from America expressed how much he enjoys the chance to “to look at what NFTs and NFT artists are doing more deeply, and see the possibilities of what this new mode of creation is capable of.”
The movie will highlight certain influencers and artists who operate in the area, according to Boris.
“With all different types of creative modalities and storytelling structure, and ideas of how to allow a film or piece of art to find, reach, and create new audiences,” was the style he alluded to.
In fact, Boris wants to expand the definition of what constitutes a film, saying that “new stories require new storytelling techniques.” We’re adopting the mindset that the story we want to communicate should be matched to the appropriate media.
