In New Delhi, Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder, and chairman of Ola, introduced ‘Krutrim AI,’ an artificial intelligence chatbot, aiming to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
The AI chatbot’s public beta is now being released. Aggarwal wrote on X, “As promised, the public beta rollout of @Krutrim AI is underway today.”
He added, “This is a start for us and our first-generation product. Lots more to come and this will also improve significantly as we build on this base. Do give us your feedback.”
More than ten Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, and even Hinglish (a hybrid of Hindi and English), will be supported by the chatbot, according to him.
He stated that Krutrim heralds a new era in the country’s AI computing stack. They want to set the standard for future paradigms and develop with the rest of the globe.
The launch occurs after Krutrim closed its first round of investment, making it the fastest unicorn and the nation’s first AI unicorn. At a $1 billion value, the funding round attracted an investment of $50 million in equity, driven by investors including Matrix Partners India and others.
