INTMAX has launched Plasma Next, an open-source Layer 2 scaling solution, on the Ethereum mainnet. Based on the Plasma framework conceptualized by Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Poon in 2017, Plasma Next incorporates zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to enhance privacy and security.
At ETH Denver, INTMAX co-founder Leona Hioki unveiled Plasma Next, achieving the scalability goals of the original Plasma framework. It scales at a constant cost per block regardless of user count, eliminating the need for individual user liquidity. Features like bulk-token transfers and Merkle trees enable this.
Plasma Next represents a paradigm shift, promising scalability without compromising decentralization. Addressing barriers like long withdrawal times and requirements to monitor all transactions significantly improves user experience. The integration of ZKP-TLC also allows for conditional payments.
Plasma Next redefines blockchain scalability by combining the strengths of both Plasma and zkRollups. The launch and open availability of the code represent years of research coming to fulfillment. Plasma Next allows blockchains to achieve mainstream adoption by simplifying transactions and enhancing privacy.
