The Nigerian House of Representatives committee has recently recommended the arrest warrant for Binance executives.
According to recent reports, there have been made accusations against Binance stating that the exchange has been involved in money laundering, illegal operations, and tax evasion.
Ginger Onmwusibe, who is believed to be the committee chairman, said that the exchange had been ignoring several invitations to appear before the committee and answer questions about the presented allegations.
He said that the committee will recommend that the house use its power to subpoena and arrest Binance executives if they do not appear.
Additionally, the exchange has also been accused of enabling illegal transactions and demanded $10 billion from the company, which the Nigerian government denied. The Central Bank of Nigeria also accused Binance of manipulating the foreign exchange market.
Even with the current struggle that the exchange is still going through, its operations within the region have not yet completely ceased.
