A major cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, aims to boost female participation in the industry by launching a luxury fragrance, Crypto, as part of its inclusivity campaign, “Crypto is Yours.”
This move, unveiled by Binance’s female marketing leaders on March 6 for International Women’s Day, challenges norms in the crypto space.
Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Conlan, said, “Bold, distinctive, and deliberately disruptive, CRYPTO isn’t a scent we’re marketing — it’s a message to women that they have a significant role to play in the crypto revolution.”
The initiative encourages women to explore crypto by offering a $25 Tether reward to the first 5,000 who complete Binance’s beginner courses. Conlan stressed that crypto is universal, urging all individuals to participate.
Binance joins Bitget, which pledged $10 million for women-led Web3 startups, addressing the gender gap in venture capital funding. According to Bitget Research, women-led startups received only 6.43% of Web3 funding between Q1 2022 and Q3 2023.
With efforts from industry players, including Binance, to promote inclusivity, the crypto space aims to empower more women to break barriers and shape the future of global finance.
