John Deaton recently reached out to the public about the open crypto donation. According to his recent tweet, he is currently accepting donations for his campaign against Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Following more reports from his campaign website, Deaton is accepting donations through Coinbase Commerce which accepts payment via Coinbase, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, and Wallet Connect.
He announced this move on March 5th, hoping to gain support from the crypto community in his bid to unseat the Massachusetts senator.
“Our campaign is now accepting donations made in cryptocurrency. I hope you will chip in and support our efforts to retire Elizabeth Warren. Please spread the word.” he stated
Deaton is viewed as a possible ally for the sector in the Senate. He has been a prominent opponent of the SEC’s approach to crypto regulation. Drawing on his personal experiences of overcoming adversity, he pledges to fight for the middle class and working class.
Though Warren has reservations, she has shown a desire to cooperate with the crypto business. Warren is well-known for her progressive beliefs and her proposed anti-crypto legislation. As a difficult opponent, she has successfully defended her Senate seat twice.
Presently, contributions via a variety of cryptocurrency wallets can be made on Deaton’s campaign website by using Coinbase Commerce. The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, made a noteworthy donation lately, giving $3,300, the maximum allowed.
