Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, recently expressed interest in potentially accepting Dogecoin (DOGE) as a form of payment for Tesla vehicles in the future.
During an engagement with the public at the Berlin Gigafactory, Musk entertained a question from an attendee about the possibility of purchasing Teslas with DOGE.
The cryptocurrency experienced a notable increase from $0.172 to $0.188 at the time of reporting, representing a 9.3% uptick, as interest in the video clip gained momentum across various platforms.
Elon Musk recently reaffirmed his support for Dogecoin (DOGE), stating that fans can still use the cryptocurrency to purchase Tesla merchandise. He expressed enthusiasm for DOGE’s potential, echoing his famous “Dogecoin to the moon” sentiment.
Musk’s endorsement of DOGE began when employees at the Tesla Gigafactory and visitors at SpaceX urged him to embrace it as an official payment method.
Elon Musk stated, “ Doge is people’s crypto, so I will support it.” He sees Dogecoin as a cryptocurrency favored by the masses, unlike Bitcoin, which he believes has garnered support primarily from wealthy individuals.
