According to a recent poll conducted by the crypto investment firm Paradigm, voters who hold cryptocurrencies are favoring former President Donald Trump over incumbent President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election.
The poll that questioned 1,000 online voters discovered that 48% of the crypto holders plan to back Trump while 39% support Bidden. Unfortunately, the poll’s 3.5% margin of error gives the possibility that the gap between the two candidates will end up being less.
The poll results revealed that nearly 7% of participants own more than $1000 worth of cryptocurrency, and more than 19% have tried to buy some cryptocurrency. When the question about the political party that they trust in handling problems surrounding crypto is posed, the voters who took the poll expressed in half of their numbers their indecision, saying “neither.”
Justin Slaughter and Dominique Little of Paradigm commented on the poll’s results, stating, “Large numbers of voters are looking for policymakers who can boldly light a path forward on crypto policy.”
Also, the poll revealed the growing interest in crypto-related investment products, with more than one in ten respondents indicating that they have either already purchased a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) (6%) or plan to do so (6%).
As the primary elections progress, Biden and Trump are likely to become the official candidates for their parties. While other polls suggest a close race between the two, this particular survey highlights the unique perspective of crypto holders in the upcoming presidential election.
