A study by an investment firm named Paradigm has shown that the number of Democrats in the United States buying digital currencies is greater than that of Republicans.
According to the data collected from February 28 to the 4th of March, among the 1000 respondents, this poll has managed to show a more complex and diverse picture of cryptocurrency ownership and voter political attitudes.
According to the findings, 19% of registered U.S. voters possess cryptocurrency, with Democrats comprising 19%, Republicans 18%, and independents 24%. Despite this ownership trend, a notable 49% of all voters, along with 45% of members from both parties, express distrust towards both Democratic and Republican parties regarding their handling of cryptocurrency matters.
The data also reported support among crypto-owning voters in favor of former President Donald Trump, who commands 48% of support compared to 39% for current U.S. President Joe Biden. This change from the previous election, in which crypto-owners backed Biden with 43% and 39% supported Trump.
Moreover, since the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds by the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 10, 6% of U.S. voters have invested in them, with an additional 6% planning to do so and 22% considering investment in the future.
