Bitcoin Virtual Machine (BVM), a Bitcoin layer 2 project, is set to release a Truly Open AI, allowing users to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) models on the blockchain for use in crypto applications. This new feature introduces AI to decentralized cryptocurrency networks.
Truly Open AI will enable users to float AI models on the blockchain, providing a decentralized ecosystem for the creation and utilization of these technologies. An AI model is a tool or algorithm based on a specific data set designed to arrive at decisions.
“We’ve figured out a way to put AI on-chain,” said lead developer punk3700. “It’s the same but with a much bigger impact than putting jpegs on-chain like ordinals.”
The developer explained, “They are neural networks where users can create their own AI models, make money from them per call, or sell the entire models.”
BVM has collaborated with prominent projects such as Filecoin, Near, Avail, Polygon, and Syscoin to provide the storage layers necessary for hosting these AI models on the blockchain.
The integration of AI with blockchain technology is gaining traction among crypto traders and is expected to fuel significant innovations in the global economy.
Although some experts doubt AI’s compatibility with blockchain, initiatives like BVM’s Truly Open AI are generating excitement in the crypto sphere. This initiative could usher in a new era of decentralized AI applications, reinforcing blockchain’s role in the evolving AI landscape.
