Polygon’s system of zkEVM Mainnet Beta has resumed operations following a brief period of downtime. The blackout on March 24, 2024, was caused by a sequencing problem.
Along with Polygon zkEVM the Mainnet Beta Team, and the zkEVM Core Team of Polygon in the development team applied a fix as a solution. So, the town council played a significant role in the fast resumption of operation.
The incident transpired only in the beta version of “Polygon zkEVM,” the test network, hence the test network should not be deemed real. Polygon PoS Network and Polygon CDK did not experience any outages and any projects partitioned with Polygon CDK also remained functional.
Although this limited their deployment of smart contracts, the team behind Polygon zkEVM is still dedicated to making efforts like having faster transactions and cheap fees their priority. The team is diligently taking the zkEVM development to the subsequent stage, which offers huge improvements.
