Anthropic AI has rolled out a beta mode enabling users to incorporate external tools into the AI model under Claude. The AI can now access data in real-time and seamlessly integrate necessary supplementary services from third-party providers into the conversation.
In the past, Claude used web searches to find information, which could be unreliable. Previously, users had to add code snippets to their API interface to connect external tools. Now, they can easily connect to real-time data sources, such as cryptocurrency exchange rates and stock tickers.
It is worth noting that the “chain-of-thought” capability in Claude has effectively solved issues with using multiple information sources. Claude now possesses the ability to provide credible responses by systematically acquiring information from diverse points of interest.
These two areas – real-time data integration and the “chain-of-thought” capability – are anticipated to develop significantly with these applications. Developers can design their own integrations that will seamlessly fit with Claude’s API and functionality, enabling features like real-time price feeds, exchange connections, and even trade executions using wallet managers.
According to Anthropic, all available Claude AI models can currently handle a high volume of tool requests. The models can accurately choose from over 250 tools, provided the user query contains all necessary parameters for the intended tool, with an accuracy of over 90%.
It is important to remember that Claude is a general chatbot and does not have the ability to provide financial advice. While the trusted integrations can be valuable, there is still a chance of mistakes occurring.
