Doodles, the next-generation art and entertainment company, is set to redefine the boundaries of animation. The company has joined 13-time Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams for a new animation experience titled “Dullsville and The Doodleverse.”
Directed by Burnt Toast, Doodles co-founder, and produced by London/New York-based Emmy-nominated creative studio Golden Wolf, the animation experience seamlessly blends Doodles’ iconic style with a revolutionary and cinematic format.
It will feature three Doodles Records music videos featuring tracks by Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne, and Coi Leray, who will also voice characters in the film.
Beyond music and animation, the overarching campaign, dubbed “Project Gray,” will be a transmedia activation incorporating live events, partnerships, exclusive merchandise, and digital collecting experiences. The release will start in early summer and peak at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it will premiere before a worldwide launch.
Doodles CEO Julian Holguin emphasized the company’s commitment to maintaining creative control and development timelines, stating, “We decided to self-finance and develop our own content. The first step in that direction was acquiring the award-winning animation studio Golden Wolf.”
With this collaboration, Doodles is venturing into uncharted territory, combining an animated special with an original soundtrack and three music videos, all while ensuring that the original Doodles community remains at the forefront of this pioneering journey.
