Gen Zers interested in cryptocurrency have started to consider this form of investment over the previous conventional one, according to the latest Policygenius survey. The research was done among 4,063 adult Americans by YouGov for Policygenius, which showed that about 20% of Gen Z already own crypto versus 18% who have stocks.Â
This could be attributed to the huge shift of paradigm from the elder generations with only 5% of boomers owning crypto. Besides, the survey shows that Gen Zers and millennials alongside 26% and 27% respectively own crypto-currency as they own real estate. 13% of Gen Zers and 24% of Millennials are real estate owners while 45% of Boomers are the ones who own the real estate compared to them.
Such a transformation might be explained by the barriers faced by the housing market, for instance, high costs of credit and the lack of offers causing more and more real estate ownership.
