In a recent announcement, Animoca Brands Japan, a key player in the blockchain and gamification sphere, disclosed plans to inaugurate an NFT launchpad during the upcoming summer of 2024. This launchpad will serve as a platform inviting Web3 projects to submit applications for showcasing and vending their NFTs.
The initiative aims to bolster creators and projects by furnishing them with avenues to market their digital assets effectively.
Operating under the umbrella of Animoca Brands, renowned for its extensive portfolio comprising over 400 Web3 investments, the Japanese subsidiary is dedicated to amplifying the presence of Japanese intellectual property (IP) in the Web3 landscape globally.
Furthermore, Animoca Brands Japan has initiated comprehensive support for international ventures seeking to establish a foothold in the Japanese market.
The NFT launchpad will facilitate the sale of selected projects’ NFTs while extending multifaceted assistance in devising sales strategies and marketing endeavors.
Notably, the payment methods encompass credit cards and cryptocurrency assets, catering to the preferences of diverse users. The sales mechanisms will be diverse, ranging from lotteries to first-come, first-served sales, and more, ensuring flexibility and inclusivity.
Set to be compatible with Ethereum and Polygon blockchains, the platform will adhere to the ERC-721 token standard. The official name of the launchpad will be disclosed in early May 2024, while its tentative launch date is slated for the summer of the same year.
