Australian computer scientist Craig Wright has ceased his appeal in a scandal case against Magnus Granath, also known as Hodlonaut, in Norway. Granath, a Norwegian citizen, faced legal action from Wright over comments made on X questioning Wright’s claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.
The case, initiated by Wright in May 2019, centered on Granath’s tweets labeling Wright as a fraud and alleging involvement in scams. Despite Wright’s efforts to challenge the ruling, a Norwegian judge upheld Granath’s right to express doubt about Wright’s identity as Nakamoto, stating Granath had evidence for his remarks.
Granath expressed satisfaction with the finality of the Norwegian court’s decision, emphasizing his desire to conclude legal proceedings in the UK. Wright’s legal pursuits against Granath extend to the UK, where a court recently ruled against Wright, affirming he is not Satoshi Nakamoto and cannot claim copyright over the Bitcoin network.
