The TON ecosystem’s overseers have joined forces with HashKey Group, which runs a crypto exchange in Hong Kong to make it easier for people in Asia-Pacific to buy and sell cryptocurrencies using Telegram’s messaging app.
TON blockchain initially belonged to Telegram, but they had to stop working on it after some legal trouble. Then, the TON Foundation took over with Telegram’s support.
Now, HashKey and the Foundation want to focus on Hong Kong first. If things go well, they plan to expand to other parts of Asia-Pacific.
After they announced this partnership, the value of Toncoin went up a bit, but it’s been down overall in the past day, while the general cryptocurrency market has also seen a slight decline.
