A modular blockchain initiative, Avail, announces an airdrop of 600 million AVAIL tokens to users. The AVAIL Claims Portal is already live.
This “Unification Drop” aims to unite diverse blockchain communities, rewarding contributors like developers, stakers, and educators. Avail, founded in 2020, comprises Nexus, Fusion, and DA segments.
Avail DA enhances base-layer transactions by scaling rollups with techniques like KZG commitments and data availability sampling. Data availability lets nodes verify transactions without downloading all block data, while KZG commitments secure data without revealing private info.
Avail Nexus offers a cross-chain bridge for asset swaps, and Avail Fusion supports liquid staking on Ethereum and Bitcoin. AVAIL tokens are used for Avail DA services, staking, and governance.
Tokens are airdropped based on user commitment to the ecosystem. 354,605 wallets will receive tokens at the mainnet launch. Of the 600 million tokens, 90 million go to ecosystem developers, 49.5 million to testnet users, 380 million to rollup users, 70 million to Polygon stakers, and 10.5 million to community contributors.
The airdrop includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Near, and others who have each made unique contributions to the blockchain ecosystem.
The Avail token airdrop’s broad allocation reflects a strategic move towards inclusivity and community-driven growth in the blockchain space.
