Global payments infrastructure provider Mercuryo has introduced fiat-to-crypto on-ramps for Tether tokens (USDt) in The Open Network (TON) ecosystem. This integration allows the users to easily convert their fiat currency into USDt, which greatly boosts the efficiency of transactions within the Network.
The on-ramps debut with an integration in Tonkeeper, a self-custody wallet supporting TON transactions and various digital currencies. Additionally, Mercuryo’s on-ramp for USDt will be incorporated into Wallet, a Telegram-based crypto wallet boasting over 900 million users. This integration enables instant, fee-free transfers of USDt among Telegram contacts globally.
Aviessa Khoo, Executive Director at Mercuryo, expressed satisfaction with the initiative, highlighting its capability to deliver superior payment solutions within the digital token space. Oleg Andreev, CEO of Ton Apps Group, emphasized the significance of USDt support in TON, stating it enables a mass-market economy on a decentralized network for the first time in history.
Mercuryo plans to introduce off-ramp services later, allowing users to convert cryptocurrency to fiat. This feature will be available for Wallet and leading wallets within the TON ecosystem.
