Nigerian blockchain payments and remittances startup Ivorypay has partnered with Tether, the issuer of the leading stablecoin USDT.
This partnership is expected to enable Tether to create and distribute its USDT stablecoin directly on Ivorypay; thus providing the necessary liquidity to facilitate reduced cost and stable digital transactions for Africans in business.
Oluwatobi Ajayi, CEO of Ivorypay, praised this alliance as one that fully aligned with their mission of making crypto transactions in Africa simple by saying he believed the users would have more confidence and therefore adopt their solutions.
Accordingly, Aly Madhavji, Managing partner at investor Blockchain Founders Fund said that integration with USDT sets “a new standard for stability and efficiency” within African financial services. He also voiced his support for Ivorypay.
