Two creators of the Solana meme coin, FADELIVE, staged a live-streamed boxing match to promote their token. Wearing balaclavas and Everlast boxing gloves, the pair fought in a tiled dining room, hoping to boost their coin’s market cap. After only a few minutes on the streaming platform Kick, the token hit a $30,000 market cap, earning a featured spot on Pump. Fun.
This clash was billed by the developers as “two of the deadliest fighters battling it out to see who takes over Solana.”
The livestream, which showcased a one-handed fight initially billed as “Friendly Fades,” quickly escalated into a more intense brawl. Despite their efforts, the fight ended abruptly when one of the fighters lost a tooth, prompting concerns about needing medical attention.
The creators’ goal was to reach a $69,000 market cap, which would allow the token to be listed on Raydium, a Solana decentralized exchange.
The token creators didn’t achieve the viral success needed and earned nothing close to Tyson Fury’s estimated $150 million earnings this weekend after a fight with Alexander Usyk. It’s unclear if the creators will fight again, but their X and Kick accounts remain active, hinting at a possible rematch. For now, Red Shorts holds the title of Solana’s boxing champion.
