One of the responsible figures at OpenAI, Theo Jaffee, announced his resignation from the company through a social media post.
Jaffee posted on X, saying that he was responsible for public communications and stated that the “voice feature in the ChatGPT app isn’t the one recently demoed.”
This statement comes amid growing interest and scrutiny over OpenAI’s advancements in AI technology. Jaffee’s departure marks a significant change within OpenAI’s team, leaving questions about the future direction of the company’s communication strategy.
Recently, a partnership between OpenAI LLC and Reddit Internet Company was announced, which integrates ChatGPT’s content with Reddit and provides Redditors with real-time, immediate information.
Jeffee also made a cryptic comment on X regarding this partnership and highlighted the phrase, “new products”, while sharing news of this development.
In the recent past, Jaffee has publicly criticized OpenAI for failing to deliver on their promise to release the desktop app for Plus users. On May 14, Jaffee expressed his frustration on social media, questioning if OpenAI would be held accountable for announcing the app’s release “today” and not following through.
