XLink has partnered with Kaamel Technology to strengthen its cybersecurity. This partnership comes shortly after another security breach on May 15 that cost $10 million in user funds. Kaamel Technology, a company specializing in privacy and cybersecurity issues, will conduct a broad survey to identify the primary reasons for the incident and to avoid recurrences.
Moreover, XLink is also expediting its collaboration with Ancilia Inc. for enhanced real-time on-chain monitoring. Ancilia’s swift alert during the recent attack enabled XLink to mitigate further losses promptly. Additionally, XLink is expanding its partnership with Cobo, its BTC custodian.Â
Cobo’s robust setup secured XLink’s reserve assets during the breach. The partnership will now focus on migrating XLink’s web3 key management to the Cobo MPC infrastructure to enhance security further.
XLink indefinitely suspended merchant operations to focus on the investigation alongside former security thinkers and Binance representatives. It was a phishing attack that led to an exchange of private keys to degrees from the Ethereum and BSC endpoints of XLink. White-hat hackers retrieved a major portion of stolen assets.
