RippleX has recently introduced the latest awards of the XRPL Grants where 7 projects were selected to be funded. This wave has an array of shape creators with a distinct vision to contribute to the XRP Ledger or XRPL.
The XRPL Grants program is one of the ways Ripple is actively contributing to the XRPL ecosystem to democratize financial solutions for developers worldwide.
The Wave 7 cohort received 132 applications from different parts of the globe embracing the XRP Ledger. Out of 90 applications, 7 programs from seven countries and four continents were selected totaling an investment of $700,000.
The receiver end comprises various uses in the financial sector, such as decentralized finance (DeFi), payment systems, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, NFTs, and identity verification.
By Q1 of 2024, the XRP Ledger recorded a great surge of on-chain transactional throughput, reaching 251. 39 million ostentatious transactional androids, a 108% growth in Android users as measured by transactional activity compared to the prior quarter.
Notably, average transaction fees are reduced by 45% to $ 0. 000856 meaning that the networks’ congestion levels are very much reduced and it is functioning at their optimum level.
