President William Ruto acknowledged the partnership and thanked Marathon for consultations with Kenya’s National Treasury and Ministry of Energy. This initiative involves using energy for mining and includes cooperative efforts for advancing technology and infrastructure in Kenya.
President Ruto stressed its potential economic impacts and remarked, “Kenya means business. If Kenya efficiently utilizes surplus energy, it can generate economic gains, create more jobs, and lead in sustainable energy and technology.
