United States Senator Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., hopes to create a coalition of senators who support cryptocurrency supporters of crypto Using language from former US President Donald Trump.
Lummis posted on social networking network X on Thursday, “We are building a pro-crypto army in Congress.”
In the past, Republican presidential candidate and former US president Donald Trump has said that his campaign wants to assemble a “crypto army” in preparation for the 2024 presidential contest.
In a May 21 release, the Trump campaign claimed that in an attempt to curtail Americans’ financial liberties, Elizabeth Warren, Biden’s surrogate, announced that she was organizing an “anti-crypto army.”
The Trump campaign added, “MAGA supporters, now with a new cryptocurrency option, will build a crypto army moving the campaign to victory on November 5th!”
Trump declared that he would take donations in the form of cryptocurrencies, such as ether, dogecoin, shiba inu, Solana, and bitcoin. In April 2023, Trump also unveiled an NFT collection of 45,000 digital artifacts, each costing $99. However, sales of the collection ceased before Trump’s criminal trial in April 2024, as The Block previously revealed.
