Aptos Foundation has announced its collaboration with Chainlink’s SCALE program to bolster its layer-1 blockchain ecosystem. This partnership joins Chainlink’s Data Feeds and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on Aptos. These tools will build decentralized applications.
The SCALE program supports blockchain ecosystems and will fund Oracle service costs, to transition to user fee coverage as ecosystems mature.
Developers on Aptos will benefit from secure, low-cost Chainlink Web3 services, for creating feature-rich dApps with cross-chain capabilities. This is set to expand the toolkit available to developers on Aptos, ensuring the creation of scalable and secure applications in EVM and non-EVM environments.
However, Chainlink has partnered with Circle to enhance the utility of stablecoins, particularly USDC and EUROC, in the DeFi space. This is made possible through the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol by Chainlink to facilitate the secure transfer of USDC across different blockchains.Â
Chainlink will promote the integration of USDC on CCIP-compatible blockchains and enhance interconnectedness within DeFi. Chainlink’s price oracles have facilitated over $1.3 trillion in USDC transactions across six blockchains, contributing to the DeFi market’s liquidity.
