In a first, Bitwise Asset Management, a crypto index fund manager, has turned an Ethereum TV spot commercial as an NFT. The move is part of Bitwise’s campaign for awareness of Ethereum crypto projects like stablecoins, NFTs, DeFi, and tokenization while promoting the Bitwise brand.
As part of the campaign, Bitwise has made history by offering viewers the opportunity to mint the ads as low-cost, open-edition NFTs through Zora, a widely used NFT platform on Ethereum. This marks the first instance of a national TV spot being minted as an NFT.
The proceeds from the minting will be divided equally between the Protocol Guild, which supports Ethereum open-source developers, and the actors featured in the videos.
There’s something about personifying Ethereum as a contrast to legacy financial and tech platforms that both highlight its potential and spotlights just how inefficient the status quo can be. With these ads, we’re excited to point to Ethereum’s groundbreaking potential with the approachability, wit, and crypto-native ethos that has always defined Bitwise
said Victoria Kulbanska Anderson, Bitwise’s Head of Growth Marketing.
The thematic advertisements for Ethereum were created in cooperation with Studio City PXLand the Revolver Films production company. The success of other previous campaigns like ‘Bitcoin Is Interesting’ also suggests that this partnership creates value for the audience and companies involved in making the commercials.
Bitwise Asset Management is an established crypto investment firm that was founded in 2017, and it provides its investors with investment products such as ETFs, private funds, and active solutions.
