One of the leading IT companies in India, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a partnership with Xerox to modernize Xerox’s IT infrastructure using cloud technology and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies like GenAI.
This collaboration aims to streamline Xerox’s technology services, enhance business outcomes, and transition complex legacy data centers to the Azure public cloud.
TCS will also implement a cloud-based digital ERP platform to modernize business processes and integrate generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into operations for sustainable growth, according to a stock exchange filing by TCS.
As part of the agreement, TCS will develop an agile, cloud-first operating model tailored for Xerox. Leveraging expertise in AI Cloud, Enterprise Solutions, and cognitive business operations, TCS plans to construct an AI-first enterprise platform for Xerox, facilitating advanced functionalities.
Tino Lancelloti, Xerox’s chief information officer, highlighted the significance of this digital transformation in simplifying operational structures and enhancing client experiences.
Lancelloti, said, “We believe TCS is the right partner to deliver such a complex program given their proven experience both within Xerox and across the industry.”
V Rajanna, TCS’s president for technology, software, and services, emphasized the long-standing collaboration between TCS and Xerox. Rajanna stated that TCS is ready to support Xerox’s reinvention journey by leveraging cloud, AI, and next-generation enterprise platforms.
Amit Bajaj, President of North America at TCS, commended “GenAI has catalyzed the next S-curve of enterprise transformation, and we are proud to be partnering with legends of American industry, such as Xerox, to go beyond use cases to realize the promise of this pathbreaking technology at an enterprise scale.”
On the stock market front, TCS shares observed a 1.87% increase, reaching 3,858.1 apiece on Friday morning. This positive trend in IT stocks, including TCS, follows Accenture’s recent financial results, which showed encouraging growth figures and new booking surges.
TCS’s partnership with Xerox to modernize IT systems using cloud technology and GenAI is a strategic move towards enhancing business efficiency and fostering sustainable growth.
